In tandem with our analysis we also worked closely with the client to design and implement core procurement processes and provide the necessary toolkits.
Across the categories we built models to review current volumes, costs and activities. We then worked through a series of hypotheses to find best fit and costs, supported by commercial inputs from tenders. Business cases were created and final supplier selection made. This exercise created a core internal competence, one that generated immediate benefits that were visible to all in the business and a sustainable resource for the mid/long term.

Our initial work with CEG has delivered a £400K saving, a substantial 19% cost reduction on addressed spends. What's more, on the back of our work, CEG have invested in their own operational improvement team to carry on realising further savings.
