The Opportunity
PEPCO supported PRET's in-house team to conduct a strategic procurement review of key categories. Together, we defined a structured approach to support improved supply efficiencies and EBITDA. Support was required to maintain PRET's high standards by renegotiating, consolidating and reviewing the current operating models.
Once a plan was agreed, PEPCO provided category experts to support accelerated delivery within key areas with full consideration of PRET's best practice standards of quality, service and social responsibility. This involved thorough market testing of existing pricing.

specifications were analysed to widen the potential supplier audience. Across categories including packaging carriers, cups, lids and soup packaging, facility management, cleaning materials, packaging sundries, travel, heated packaging, fixed line telecoms, lighting, hot langers and cash collection, we sought to generate savings without ever compromising the quality and integrity that underlines the brand.
For a number of strategic high spend categories, transformation strategies were implemented which whilst significantly reducing cost, most importantly, delivered operational and supply chain improvements which were key to supporting business growth.
