Leading financial services call centre
The Opportunity
A leading financial services company was in the process of sourcing a new call centre phone system and was progressing discussions with a single supply option. PEPCO were commissioned to review the requirement, assess competition and deliver a fit for purpose solution at a highly competitive price. Focus on product selection at an early stage reduced overall supplier competitiveness and ability to negotiate all margins throughout the supply-chain. There was a significant CAPEX cost and 8 weeks to make a decision.

PEPCO worked with the IT team to document core requirements for hardware, software and services before engaging the market. Multiple vendors were engaged to provide propositions which met requirements with no stipulation on manufacturers or brands. Following a down selection, suppliers were invited to demonstrate their products and discuss proposals with the IT team before final negotiations. Opening up supply options increased leverage and supported significant overall cost reduction.
